The Theme for this months beat battle is
POWER TRIP!!!!
Song or band names with the word "Power"

Rules:
1.Use the Power Surge drums, (they're very tasty) - no outside drums but you can add percussion
2. Sample at least one other track
3.Take something from the acapella
Feel free to add any other synth or FX or elements you please
Post entries to Soundcloud, clearly marked with TRS024 in the title
Closing Date for entries, is June 18th 2023

Folks, there seems to have been a little glitch in the drum track, power surge by Frank McDonald, so I uploaded a new copy, should be better now

I was trying to make a moody piano piece with the Joy Crooks tune, but I just couldn't get a bassline to work for me
so I went with a stripped back approach, it's basically just the drum track and the acapella, with a snippet of sax and vocal from Tower of Power, no outside samples used

Alright guys, I've got something cooking for this, but just a quick question.... I know the rules state no outside drums but does turning a 808 into a bassline count as breaking that rule?
