STBB Monthly Battle #8 What would Madlib Do

I think we have established a core of listeners around the week battles and now that they realize there is a monthly the true producers will trickle over. Last month was a big event I like to make things small and fun more on the basement beat maker tip. So one sample this month it’s a rather long sample and has great potential.
Rules everything allowed except outside samples unless they are vocal chops, the focus must be on the sample, everything around the sample. I am not one for formal rules guy so be creative and think in the vein of a Madlib when working this month. Madlib has created simple and complex masterpieces and is a master at his craft I believe we should think the same way master your craft with a creative expression of you, keep it funky

Yeah you're right, but more so than just what would he do as far as skills what creative flip would he do. I also cite kan-kick and Oh-no study those guys get the vibe.

Yes! Enjoy the sample and chop with soul and love that is why I think the monthly battle is important because not everyone can just flip a sample in a few days. I know I listen to sample like 50 times before one chop happens just to feel the sound in the songs. So yeah more chops than loops and if you happen to loop the sample be creative I should have said think madvilliany as a reference point.

Didn't exactly attempt to mimic Madlib's style of producing. Instead I had a go at what I thought Madlib would make if he were me I am aware that sentence didn't make a blind bit of sense
