I love this challenge... Can you clarify if it would be allowed for me to scratch bird sounds from my vinyl collection? I ask because bird sounds are great for scratching and I don't have equipment to scratch samples digitally..
BTW This is a cool record I own which is really early music concrete/sampling of bird sounds to make symphonic music (!)
It's called Symphony of the Birds by Jim Fassett
Maybe someone finds it inspirational
Congrats on the win my man- peace!

you acknowledged he said no outside bird sounds then asked if you can add outside bird sounds. just break the rule and see if the bird experts notice

I not trying to bend the rules was just asking if he felt like altering them slightly.
I'm honestly cool either way, just thought it would be fun to allow scratching.

I'd say just go for it. there's no way anyone's gonna notice or be bothered if you do. the rules are already structured that you can just take any beat you've ever made and add bird sounds to it

yeah I'm not a fan of using old beats either I meant more like you can use samples and records still. it doesn't have to be a melody based solely on the bird sounds. the beats I did were all done fresh from records I've recorded recently but didn't chop up yet
