8 count is two bars?

Solo melody means just samples no bass no drums? Or are we supposed to play an extra melody?

1 bar silence is a long time on 80 bpm it would be like 3 seconds. In the middle of the beat?

this was more about the definition of melody... but let's have some room for interpretation.

yes, i left it open to interpretation..
but as the track is broken up into melody, bass, drums and vocals..
it seemed self explanatory to me solo melody/melodies wouldn't include bass, drums and vocals
so yes, melody/melodies can be everything going on melodic barring the above mentioned..

I chpped the rhodes part on the computer... Then continued on the mc-101 for a sunny sunday afternoon jam
Today i was thinking if i should post this... but hey it's what i came up with and should be by the rules.
The silence gave me some trouble... so i decided to make it an cardiac arrest in this floaty dream

86 tempo pitched it up +2. Added drums and some sort of FX textured sound.
Bass extracted from the low end of the sample and boosted with EQ and Bass Amp plugin.

Edit: Thanks Joa for the comment on my previous version, had to get nekkid for the acapella too and fixed the silence part.

fun week! i got "nekkid" in the following way:
piano
organs
guitars
acapella
bass
drums
-silence

no outside samples except drums, bassline and one fx shot.
a friend introduced me to don toliver and i found this great and weird acapella to suit the mood of the keys.



great challenge and samples, looking forward to hear all the entries.
