STBB #842 - Joe Henry
Awe shucks thanks for all the votes Fam. This week going to throw it (kinda) back to a really interesting critter you may or may not know, Joe Henry. I like to think of him as the boomer King Krule, a real artsy, jazzy, music snob who sings hyper-intelligent lyrics, badly, over loose but rich instrumental beds that he himself produces. Lead off track from his 2001 album, Scar, "Richard Pryor Addresses a Tearful Nation" is a long form track with a ton of sample goodies in it, and I've always wanted to sample it but for some reason never did.

Rules
1) use a sample from "Richard Pryor Addresses a Tearful Nation"
2) no other rules except for the standard STBB fine print.. Outside everything allowed, just make the track you want to hear and have fun.
Bonus
Included a DJ Muggs drum kit that I just copped today in a separate WeTransfer. I have not heard or auditioned these drums, so if they suck I don't know whatever. But even a bad drum kit is bound to have some gems hidden. You definitely do not need to use them, but enjoy and Merry Christmas! - Tony
