Hello,
Welcome to the STBB861........!! :blunted:
This first week of september, I would like to explore the disco feeling.
Your track must be in a disco feeling ( try to capture the bumpy energy from this kind of music)
To help you building the fever feeling, you can download the following package which contain:
Several songs, not really disco, but I hope we will find some ways to sample and chop.
A goodies bag with some drums one shot included into the package and guitars too.
I hope you will find inspiration and idea thanks to that

Here's the disco link:

Here's the rules::dance:

1.Use unless two samples of the track from the pack
2.Use one snare min from the pack
3.Try to be under 3 minutes (but if not that not so very grave)
4.Give a disco, disco funk, Hiphop funk, breakbeat, even house feeling into your track.

The Fine Print:
Upload your beat to Soundcloud, include "STBB 861“ in the title, and POST TO THIS FORUM by Thursday 06:00 in the morning, Pacific time/15:00 CET
Try to leave as much feedback as you can and you will receive it back.
For easy browsing's sake, you can also go to the STBB page: https://soundcloud.com/stbbcollection
Label entries that are posted after the deadline as 'late entry' and entries that don't comply with the rules as: 'non-entry' in your track title.
EVERYONE VOTES - by Friday at Midnight, Pacific time
Winner: post new sample, rules, etc by Saturday at Noon, Pacific time and upload the sample here: https://wetransfer.com/

Hi guy,
Just an info about the STBB861 post
If you have download the wetransfert before friday 1 september midnight (french time) and above all if you don't have samples of guitar in the pack , you can redownload the pack.
I modify a little bit the pack and so I redo a we transfert and modify the link to download.
I have add some short guitars samples

The Wetransfert is only 50mb...... so not very long.
sorry :)
Have a good week. excited to listen the next track from the team :)

Congrats Jeff C. Thanks for the music and the rules.
I used the Fleetwood Mac and the Partners along with a bassline played on Surge XT and an acapella from Terence Trent D'Arby (Sananda Maitreya)

Loved the samples, used a little bit of everything from them. Wasn’t able to satisfy the challenge tho cuz it just turned into a reggae type mashup.

Almost everything from the samples.

Fun with disco vibes; I sampled the Beethoven track, Gold Dust Woman, and a guitar sound… then added a bunch of stuff that felt right.

Used Beethoven for pad, used some guitar sounds for dub. first tried to make a moroder bassline with sleepy hollow to fit the theme at least a bit but I failed. but it was fun

:weed:
