Congrats Hesh!

Plenty to work with there - I used the Brigitte sample for the guitar chords and then drum one shots / textures from a few of the others with an Earl Sweatshirt acapella to glue it together. Joa, you're right, its better instrumental...

oh, don't get me wrong.. it's sounded cool with the aca.. i just don't care for Earl as a rapper much is all..

on another note.. i'm on ear rest for a while.. so no entry this week.. which is a pretty tough thing to do for me..

Hey All, Congrats and great theme. When I think of stereolab the first thing that pops in my head is her vocal sound. Hope all are well.

Peace, Hugh

Ended up loving these samples. Everything but the drums is from the samples. Did a lot of Reason's Grain on these.
I remembered that I used to love to sprinkle some "unasked for, moral advisory and political/zeitgeist commentary" into these little medleys.

Yo

Struggled with the samples this week,
honestly for me when given a whole album to work with is a bit over the top.
I feel that more than 3 samples is plenty. But that's my thoughts. ;)
chopped up the first few bars of Spark Plug, stretched the chops to 16 notes
used the snare from the chops...
Added drums and out side bass. 88bpm

Stereolab, definitely one of my favorite bands, so this was a fun quick cook up.
