A true honor to take the first win of the year. Thank you for all the votes. Always bring me much happiness when the beats get y'all stoked up.

This past Tuesday (12/31/24), I had to put my dog, and best friend to sleep after a wonderful 14 together. In light of that, I'd like to dedicate 931 to all of the artists, friends and anyone that is no longer with us, who has inspired and brought joy into our lives.

Simple rules as usual with me.

Use at least one of the provided samples.

Outside samples and everything else is allowed.

For those who receive votes, and manage to get an acapella in your mix, get an additional +1 point for each vote.

I lost my musical soulmate Couzin Steve in 2015.

You know what? I'm goin to remix our song "Hush Ya Mouth" in honor of Couzin Steve.

Happy New Year! Hope everyone's good. Dope samples as usual from the Heshmeister. Used Mac Miller, Pharoe Sanders, Miles Davis and Soul Love. Added a simple bass line and a Guru acapella. Gang Starr were my first favourite hip hop group, and Guru's Jazmatazz was my first gig. RIP!

Here's my first submission of 2025!

The main sample is Walt Barr - Mystery To Me (from my own library).

I used the acapella of MF DOOM - My Favorite Ladies. He inspired many rappers and producers (including me), and worked with many artists. He was described as "Your favorite rapper's favorite rapper."

I also used a trumpet stab from Miles Davis - Blue In Green.

This was quite different to what I'm used to, but very fun! Happy sampling, and R.I.P to the legends of our past!

Went old school and did some super basic chops on Miles samp. Added drums and lil guitar and Nipsey acca of course. Cheers Fam!
