4/9/25 Site Outage Update + Like Post removal

Hey all,

Sorry for the outage and scary message earlier, apparently a severe malfunction related to the Like Post feature (the heart icon button) caused our web host to freak out and suspend our server. I've corrected this by disabling the plugin, unfortunately that will be a casualty here - we're running on an older version of forum software and due to the lack of updates for old plugins I don't think this will see a return.

My hope if I ever get the time to do so is either do a major upgrade to our phpBB software OR even move to a newer/modern forum software that would have these types of features built in rather than relying on plugins that will eventually lose support. If anyone on the board has experience doing forum software migrations, feel free to shoot me a PM btw

Will let Joa determine if any extension to battle timelines is needed here.

Hey all,

Some of you may have seen our site suspended again today.. I think I finally resolved the issue. I've upgraded our hosting to Business level to get more CPU and I also optimized some databases which they recommended. I 'think' this will solve the issue for good.

One bonus, I think it's okay to re-add the Heart/Like functionality again

Another note - the site may be a little slow for the next couple hours - if you're experiencing any issues, you may want to delete your cache
