hahahha, that was a funny scene.. it took me a couples of listens coz i couldn't make out what was being said very well.. listened on laptop then earbuds..
but once i got it i laughed out loud..![]()
who/ what is the audio from?
as a tip to possibly make vocals more discernible you could, dip the instru somewhere around 1,6 khz range ( listen for it ) and boost the vox there,
sidechain the vox to the instru,
play with the stereo field.. sometimes when it's narrow towards mono you can place it in the panning spectrum somewhere where it comes through better..
was it an outside scene?.. i thought i' heard some other sounds from the surroundings ..
when necessary you can try and eq them out an/ or use 'restoration' plugins for that..
and then theres the volume of the vocals too.

The first skit (in the first break) is from an episode of the British TV Sci-Fi "Blake's 7"
(incredible, fantastic science fiction television, well worth the effort needed to get into it, highly recommended!)
and the second skit (at the outro) is Malcolm McDowell from the film "Just visiting"
(pretty awful american remake of the great goofy french time travel comedy "Les Visiteurs", but at least both have Jean Reno!)
Any issue with the mixing falls on me.
I mostly work daw-less, (with the Elektron Digitakt+Digitone into a little Allen&Heath ZED6 mixer
then record with Zoom H6).
Long story short, I had only volume as a functional tool and perhaps I was not judicious enough in
it's application! haha! (In reality when making the music I should have left space in the mix for the vocal, a quieter break
if you will, so there was less to compete with.) I mix by ear on a pair of sennheiser headphones,
too, so that flavors my mixes!
Long story even shorter, the vocal skit is not loud enough and that's my fault! Haha!
Thanks Joa! and thanks for your interest and input!
Much Love My Brother!
